- VIP & institutional desk for whales
What's not great

Where HTX sits in the tier list
HTX sits at #7, between MEXC — Best for Lowest Fees (#6) and Weex — Best for High Leverage (#8). It holds one of our 12 category awards: Veteran Brand. Product coverage: 5 of the 19 product lines we track (Spot, Futures, Earn, Loans, VIP Desk); Binance covers the most with 7. Founded 2013, based in Seychelles, listing 592 assets read from its own instruments API on 2026-09-17; scored on the same six axes as the other 10. Security record (checked 2026-09-17): HTX was hit twice in late 2023. On 24 September a hot wallet was drained of 4,999 ETH — about $7.9 million on-chain, which Justin Sun rounded to 5,000 ETH and $8 million; the attacker returned the funds on 7 October for a 250 ETH white-hat bounty. In November 2023 hackers took funds from HTX hot wallets and the affiliated HECO bridge; CNBC reported about $115 million stolen across the two as the tally stood. HTX suspended deposits and withdrawals on both as a precaution and said it would fully compensate losses from the hot-wallet attack; we have found no statement extending that to the bridge.
